Aluminium Composite Panels(ACP) represent a multi-layer composite material which is made from two pre-painted aluminium sheets bonded to non-aluminium core. This material stands out for its mechanical strength, light weight and remarkable resistance to environmental conditions, being a great choice for both outdoor and indoor building cladding.
Apart from cladding, they are widely used as signage due to its surface which can be printed on and its ease of handling. Availble in different core materials, these panels can provide options for fire-resistance and other demands.
Aluminum composite panels possess an outstanding ratio of strength to weight. Compared to aluminum and steel panels, they weigh approximately 60% and 30% less, respectively, for an equivalent rigidity. The 180° peel strength is quite high, ensuring that the panel and plastic core materials are securely attached, even after long-term usage.
Furthermore, aluminum composite panels boast remarkable stability in color and gloss. The coating will remain securely attached, with no deterioration in typical external conditions (high temperature fluctuations, ultraviolet radiation, rain, wind, etc.). The PVDF fluorocarbon resin coating is especially resistant to corrosion from acids, bases, and saline mist. It also fulfills the wind pressure requirements that apply to high-rise external walls in accordance with national category A standards.
Moreover, the core layer is made of non-flammable polyethylene, with two thin sheets of aluminum on either side. This confers protection comparable to fire resistance grade A-class materials, meeting the most stringent fire-proof requirements.
